We are the municipally run animal shelter for the town of Portland. We do not house cats at the shelter, but sometimes do have cats available for adoption that are being fostered.

The state of CT has an adoption program that partially reimburses the new owner a portion of the cost for vaccinations and sterilization of a new pet. Only animals that have not been neutured are eligible for this program. Further info and prices available upon request.
