Heavenly Acres Pet Rescue

Heavenly Acres Pet Rescue is a dedicated Rescue for no longer wanted dogs and puppies abandoned at Nationwide Animal Shelters as well as Puppy Mill rescued breeder dogs and "unsellable" puppies.

Owner and Director, Cindy Shipp, started finding homes for unwanted and orphaned animals when she was twelve years old and has been successfully doing so ever since.

Based out of Leesburg, Florida, Heavenly Acres Pet Rescue is a non profit facility that depends entirely on most welcomed and needed donations from the public supplemented by monies out of our pocket in times of need. It is our Prayer, Hope and Dream that someday there will no longer be a need for ANY animal rescue, either domestic or wildife.

Rescue FAQs

State of Florida and will on occasion take furkids from outside the state. We are predominately small dog and birds, wildlife rescue but will do courtesy listings for furkids that need homes if they meet the criteria of up to date on shots and spayed/neutered etc

Additional adoption info

Our ultimate goal is to place any and all animals in our care in a perfectly matched loving Forever Home. To do that we need to make sure that the animal and the family are matched as closely as possible and our Adoption Application Process helps us achieve that goal. There are many variables that go into making Forever Home decisions regarding an animal's life and happiness. Each application is thoroughly reviewed on an individual basis. It usually takes only a day or so to process an Adoption Application but if there are many Applications for the same animal, it may take longer.

We will respond to Adoption Applications, E Mails and in coming phone calls regarding a filed Adoption Applications as quickly as possible.

We will not do a same day Adoption unless you have an approved Adoption Application on file. It is encouraged that you submit an Adoption Application, either by E Mail or Snail Mail, prior to visiting.
