Loudoun County Animal Services

As Loudoun County’s leading animal resource, the Department of Animal Services is dedicated to ensure the humane treatment of animals and to serve the community with compassion, integrity and professionalism. Staff are committed to fostering the human-animal connection through an innovative and creative approach to animal sheltering, law enforcement, humane education and community outreach.

Through teamwork, dedication and commitment to excellence, the Department of Animal Services will serve the community with distinction and honor, protecting the public’s health and safety and ensuring the welfare of animals.

The department operates the Loudoun County Animal Shelter, which provides for companion animals that have been surrendered by their owners or found stray in the county. The Animal Shelter also offers pets for adoption.
