Southeast Border Collie Rescue League Inc.

We are the Southeast Border Collie Rescue League of Florida (aka SEBCRL), a private not-for-profit breed rescue organization founded in 1984 and based upon compassion and understanding for the needs of our breed. We are comprised of volunteers who give their time, ability, homes and money to help place Border Collies where they will be loved and well cared for. Our primary goal is to provide a reliable rescue effort for abandoned, lost, mistreated, or unwanted Border Collies because of improper placement. Our cornerstone is the knowledge that Border Collies are not the breed for everyone. From that, we have built working relationships with area shelters for breed recognition and the realization that this breed requires a carefully screened home. We have formed a close bond with several area veterinarians in helping us care for the Border Collies we take into our rescue. Our adoption process distinguishes itself on the basis of breed education, spay/neuter requirements, health management, training assistance, and our lifetime commitment to all Border Collies under our responsibility. We subscribe to the highest standards set forth by the Border Collie Society of America. Our rescue efforts and success stories distinguish us as one of the more active and successful rescues in the Southeast United States. WE are proud of that success. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all shots, tested for heartworms, on heartworm preventative, and full of love to give. Our dogs are well rounded and have gone to a variety of different homes including: agility, frisbee, flyball, service dogs, search and rescue, herding, drug dog detection, Sea World Shows, obedience and "pet" homes.
