Our Adoption Priorities
We feel that each cat has their own unique personality, as do people. So when we look for a prospective home for these cats, the needs of each cat are considered. With that in mind we try very hard to match the home and family with that particular cat. These cats have already had enough trauma in their lives, so by doing this we hope to ensure that it will be a forever home.

Adoption Procedures & Application Information
(Please go to our webiste : www.hart.rescuegroup.org) We must have a written copy of this on file. We will contact you as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind we all have full time jobs, so this may take up to a week to process. We also require a current or past vet reference as part of our adoption process. If you have any questions please email us at hartrescue213@yahoo.com

Adoption Fees
Our adoption fee is $90.00 and up. All of our cats/kittens are current on vaccines, FeLV/FIV tested. If old enough, spayed or neutered. The adoption fee goes back into the rescue fund so we can save more lives.

About Homeless Animal Rescue Team

H.A.R.T. was formed in June of 2002; we are a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. All of our members have previous experience in rescuing and have fostered numerous animals. Because we all have similar thoughts and philosophies about rescuing, we have joined together to increase our opportunities to help animals in need. Like other rescue groups, we find homes for many abandoned cats. We are not a shelter; we foster our cats in our homes until we can find a permanent home for them. We are small group of individuals with the same interest in finding long-lasting, loving homes for cats. And like people, cats have personalities, so we try very hard to find a home that best suits each cat's needs. Our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our animals. We try hard to make the adoption experience a positive and life-long commitment between you and your new family member. We want our animals to be in their forever home when they leave our foster care. We take pride in making a good match between the family and the pet they are adopting. Different pets have different requirements, and we want all involved to be happy with any match we make. Education is a very important part of our philosophy. We would like to reduce the number of homeless animals through public awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering your pets.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Cranford/Rartian, NJ.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
