West Valley Animal Care Center - Los Angeles Animal Services

The 50,000 sq. ft. West Valley shelter features multiple cat rooms and special cat play areas, in addition to 68 cat kennels. The 152 dog kennels have an outdoor and indoor access to enclosed air-conditioned spaces. The City of Los Angeles Animal Services operates six animal shelters and has field staff serving the community. The shelters are award winning facilities that have been built within the past 10-15 years. LA Animal Services is one of the largest municipal shelter systems in the U.S., serving approximately 60,000 animals annually and responding to 20,000 emergency calls each year involving animals or people in danger. Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of animals and people.

You can adopt any pet from any shelter. To bring in found pets, this location serves the following areas: Bell Canyon, Canoga Park, Chatsworth, Encino, Granada Hills, Lake Balboa, Northridge, North Hills, Porter Ranch, Reseda, Sepulveda, Tarzana, Warner Center, West Hills, Winnetka, Woodland Hills.
