Shelter FAQs

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is a private, non-profit animal shelter. With medical and behavior staff on-site, we are on the leading edge of animal welfare, using Fear Free Sheltering techniques, positive training and enrichment to provide the best care we can to our cats and dogs. All of our animals receive a comprehensive health exam, and are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and given flea preventative and dewormer prior being available for adoption. Homeward Pet Adoption Center serves the greater Seattle area, north King and south Snohomish Counties, and the Eastside including Woodinville, Bothell, Kenmore, Bellevue, Redmond and Kirkland.

Please visit our website rather than responding through Adopt-a-Pet. Homeward Pet Adoption Center does adoptions by appointment. Please visit www.homewardpet.org to view all of our Available animals and make an appointment. For pets noted to be in foster, you'll instead fill out an application in their profile. You'll be emailed a link to speak by phone with an Adoption Specialist. We will share with you all the information we have regarding an animal's history, health and behavior, and work with you to make a great match for your family.
