Second Chance at Love Humane Society

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application which can be found on our website. Once the application is submitted, our adoption director will contact you. Home-checks are required in order to adopt on of our dogs. We ask for an adoption donation of $150. Every dog adopted from Second Chance has been spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm tested, and micro-chipped for permanent identification. Second Chance at Love volunteers work diligently to assess each dog’s temperament, personality and behavior. We develop a relationship with each adoptive family to find the dog best suited for them. Although we hope every placement is permanent, we will always take a dog back if, for any reason, the placement does not work out for the adoptive family.
