BARKS (Byram Animal Rescue Kindness Squad) is a non-profit, volunteer-based animal rescue organization founded in 1973 to provide veterinary care, housing and permanent placement of stray and abandoned cats and dogs.

- Meet the Pet
- Sign Adoption ContractAfter which, the pet would go to your home for its trial adoption period - usually 2 weeks for cats and 4 weeks for dogs.

Our Adoption Policy
BARKS has many wonderful pets available for adoption. All our pets are spayed and neutered and have a current rabies and distemper vaccine. In addition, all cats are tested for feline aids and feline leukemia and all dogs are heartworm tested.
