The McNairy County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Inc (SPCA) is an animal welfare group founded in 2006 here in McNairy County. We are a not-for-profit charitable organization whose goals are as follows: Care for abandoned, abused and homeless animals; Call attention to unacceptable practices that harm animals; Encourage humane and suitable animal care; Educate the public about the minimum care required to own an animal in Tennessee Advocate for changes in law to benefit animals; and above all Investigate and seek to prevent acts of animal cruelty
McNairy County SPCA serves all of McNairy County. We do respond to emergencies and concerns for local law enforcement in neighboring counties at their request.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees vary on an individual basis. Our basic fees are Dog $65.00 and cat is $45.00. Should an animal having required extensive veterinary care should be available for adoption, that fee may be a bit higher to offset some of tose costs. Our adoption fees for horses start at $200 and go up from there depending on cost of care to rehabilitate, and level of training the horse was given.
