PAWS-MONTCLAIR was founded 39 years ago. We are a non-profit organization, with 501(c)3 status. PAWS is dedicated to finding homes for the unwanted cats and dogs in our community. We are proud to have one of the highest adoption rates amongst the many animal rescues in New Jersey.
We are supported solely by donations. 100% of all donations go directly to the shelter. NO fundraisers are ever paid.

To ensure our animals are placed in good homes all applicants are thoroughly screened and we do follow-up calls and visits. All adopted cats and dogs are given a 10 day health guarantee, providing the adopter uses the veterinarian we select.
