Cause for Paws

Cause For Paws is a small family run animal rescue/shelter located in a very rural area in South central Tennessee. Wayne County is the 2nd largest county, area wise, in the state. with a population of approx 17,000
We promote the humane treatment of all animals, education of the importance of spaying and neutering
and as a community ally urge strict enforcement for protecting animals withing society.
We have learned that there is a very fine line between people who commit crimes of animal abuse and violent crimes against humanes. Witnessing first hand both sides of that fine line and the end result, is why
we are dedicated to making a difference.
Saving one life at a time may not make a difference in the world, but surely it makes a world of difference in the life of the one we saved.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application. We do home studies for local adoptions and get assistance from other rescue organizations to perform the home study for long distance adoptions. Though you have the right to refuse the study, we base our decision partly on the home visit and reserve the right to deny the adoption based on your refusal.
We also reserve the right to deny any application if we feel another applicant would be a more suitable home for our furry residents based on the information on the application.
Our adoption fee is $150.00 which covers the cost of heart worm testing, vet exam, fecal flotation, deworming
vaccines and spaying or neutering. Any applicant considering adopting from us must have a fenced in yard, keep vaccines and heartworm prevention up to date and keep the companion on a good quality monthly flea and tick treatment.. Our companions are adopted as a family member
