Additional adoption info

Fees vary for each dog. Overall, we try to be sure that the adoption fee covers our expenses in the dog. We will have the dog fully vetted before adoption. That means: Spay/Neuter, Heartworm tested, Temperament tested, Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella (kennel cough vaccine) Dewormed. They will already be on Heartgard and Frontline Plus protections. In some cases, the dogs will already be microchipped. If not chipped already (we really urge this!), then we can have it done for a nominal additional fee. In general, this means that you will only have to take your dog to your vet for a general health checkup and to start your monthly Heartgard and Frontline applications.

We cannot guarantee the health of our dogs since most of them are strays from local animal controls and we know nothing of their past. However, we will share with you everyting we do know about the dog you are interested in. We also have a fully refundable fee for the first month, less a small application fee. Even after the first month, we will always take the dog back if for some reason you can no longer care for it. In fact, our contract requires you to return the dog to us. That way, we can be assured of finding it another permanent home.
