Rescue FAQs

I rescue shelties because they are my breed of choice, I adore them, they are just about perfect to me, I show my dogs in conformation and have done agility with them, I rescue shelties because its the responsible thing to do for my breed, I work in the veterinary field and see the fallout of the designer dog craze everyday, anytime I can save a wonderful purebred dog from that fate by altering and placing it in a forever home is a great day!

Additional adoption info

Please contact us by email, we require a short form to be returned first, we work hard to find the right sheltie for each family based on many things, personality, age of family members, activity level of family, and the same for the dog! Prior experience with shelties is usually why most people are looking for another one, please let us know about your previous pets, we like to hear about them.We have shelties of all ages that come to us for many different reasons, we retrain them, alter, microchip, update vaccines, whatever they need to make them a great new friend, then try our best to find exactly the right home for them.
