We are the City of McPherson Animal Shelter, we receive all dogs running at large in the city limits of McPherson. We keep them 6 days so their owner has a chance to claim his/her pet. If nobody claims the pet we put the animal up for adoption. We also take surrender dogs from the city of McPherson only, not including Mcpherson county.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
We are open Monday - Friday 12:00PM to 5:30PM and Saturday - Sunday 1:00PM-5:00PM

Meet the Pet
We require any pets currently in the home to meet the pet you are wanting to adopt.
3.
Submit Application
We have online or in-person applications for you to access.
4.
Approve Application
The Director will process your application and contact you after reviewing the application.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Pay Fee
Our fee varies depending on if the pet is current on their rabies and spayed/neutered.
7.
Take the Pet Home
