We are the McPherson Animal Shelter. Our mission is to deliver services that prioritize the preservation of public health and safety, to compassionately shelter and attend to the needs of the animals under our care, to safeguard the community's animals from abuse and neglect, and to offer our citizens education on responsible pet ownership.
McPherson, KS city limits only and we only take dogs, no cats.
Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a PetWe are open Monday - Friday 12:00PM to 5:30PM and Saturday - Sunday 1:00PM-5:00PM
- Meet the PetWe require any pets currently in the home to meet the pet you are wanting to adopt.
- Submit ApplicationWe have online or in-person applications for you to access.
- Approve ApplicationThe Director will process your application and contact you after reviewing the application.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay FeeFees vary based on age group.
- Take the Pet HomeEnjoy your newest family member!
