We know there are so many wonderful homes out there in other states and other parts of Illinois that we simply can't get to.

2. We will only consider a home with an application on file. So, if you don't have your application on file with us, please fill one out. To fill out our application, please visit: http://ebullymatch.com/Adopt.html.

3. Each application is thoroughly reviewed and will either pass through to a phone interview, or will not move forward. We will contact you if we feel you make the cut. We also require an in-home interview and will advise if you have made it through to that round.

4. Each bulldog will come with an adoption fee that varies from around $600 and up depending on the age and health of the dog. In addition, we require a contract that indicates that if for any reason, you can no longer keep your rescued bulldog, you will contact us directly for rehoming.

About Chicago English Bulldog Rescue, Inc.

We are the gold standard, the oldest, most experienced, top-notch pure-breed English Bulldog rescue in the Midwest. Our bullies get the highest level of care and commitment. They spend their time with us in foster homes where they get daily love and attention. No cages, no institutions.

We are an Illinois licensed shelter and a 501c3 charitable organization. The care we provide our English bulldogs, including a high quality diet, the best veterinary care from a bulldog specialist, and behavioral evaluations, exceeds any rescue organization around. Your contributions to help care for our bullies would be so appreciated as each rescue typically costs us more in care than the adoption fees we collect. All donations are tax deductible as provided by law. To donate, visit our secure online donation site:

Chicago English Bulldog Rescue, Inc.'s adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Chicago, IL.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
