Rescue FAQs

Wilma's Orphans Inc is a small not for profit [501c3] dog [only] rescue that works very hard finding permanent homes for dogs who need a second, third or even fourth chance at happiness. It is a one-woman operation, and I am that woman. My name is Wilma, and I've been interested in dogs all my life. After retiring from the business world it seemed only natural to follow my dream and my passion both of which involve working with dogs, and so Wilma's Orphans Inc came into being. The main objective is to rescue homeless and unwanted dogs with adoption to loving forever families the end result. Every dog is seen by a veterinarian regardless of where it came from. They are given their rabies and distemper vaccinations, dewormed and complete blood panels taken. All dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption. If there is a medical or physical problem it is taken care of to the best of my ability. Each dog's temperament and personality is well-known so prospective adopters are fully informed before adopting. Please look at all the sweet faces imploring you to take them home. You just might find the "love of your life" at Wilma's Orphans.
Wilma's Orphans Inc is located in Jackson, New Jersey.. We welcome inquiries from the tri-state area.

Additional adoption info

Meeting the dog you are interested in is an important part of the adoption process. And if you are looking for a second dog bringing your current pet along for the initial "meet n greet" is of paramount importance. The dogs do have the final say in determining the success of an adoption. If they don't get along no matter how much you like our dog it won't work.
