Shelter FAQs

Tulare County Animal Services Division strives to improve the safety and quality of life for the animals and residents of Tulare County. Animals under the care and custody of Tulare County Animal Services Division are sheltered at the County’s Animal Care and Adoptions facility. The facility has indoor/outdoor kennel runs for dogs, a combined cat room and outdoor cattery, as well as spaces for non-domestic animals and livestock.

Please come visit our shelter Monday through Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm at 14131 Avenue 256 in Visalia or call the shelter at 559-636-4050 for more information. The adoption fee is $30 - $110 depending on whether the animal came in already sterilized and if the adopter lives in the county.
