Designed to meet Haywood County’s needs for the next 25+ years, the new Haywood County Animal Shelter opened in 2018 and was designed to provide a safe, clean, and inviting space for both humans and animals in need.
Our county shelter is located in Waynesville, Haywood County, NC. We are easily accessible from Atlanta, GA, Knoxville and Bristol, TN, Greenville/Spartanburg, SC, Asheville and Charlotte, NC.

Additional adoption info

Adoption Fees: $85 for dogs and $50 for cats. We only accept cash or check. Adoption fees include vaccinations, deworming, and spay/neuter.
