The adoption fee covers them being tested for leukemia and aids, their initial vaccines(distemper), a vet check-up, treatment for fleas, worms, parasites, ear mites, and their nails trimmed. If the cat/kitten is old enough they may have more done for them, such as, rabies vaccine and second distemper vaccine. Also if they are old enough, they will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. If they are not spayed or neutered prior to adoption, you will be given a spay/neuter certificate for one of our local vets. If you choose to use your own vet, we will take $20 off the adoption fee. Our fees are very reasonable, considering you get about $300-500 worth of pet care when you adopt from us. Since we are non-profit, any donations and adoption fees are a tax-write off for you.
