Additional adoption info

Every greyhound that comes to us for placement in a loving pet home is spayed/neutered; has current immunizations; teeth cleaned including any necessary tooth extractions; is micro chipped for permanent identification; nails are trimmed; treated for fleas/ticks; heartworm tested; and any other medical needs are taken care of. Each greyhound also goes to it’s adopted home with a martingale style collar and matching lead, and a training muzzle.

All of our dogs are either placed in foster homes or are placed into our cell dog program at “Crowley County Correctional Facility” in Olney Springs, Colorado.

Our foster homes, as well as the prison receive a dog bed, toys, dog food, treats, brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, food and water dishes, etc. for each dog. Some of our generous foster homes choose to provide some or all of these needs, but we provide the rest.

Of course, the longer the dog is with us, the higher the costs for feeding, and often the medical fees will be. Most dogs spend well over a month to three or four months with us. But…that moment when a greyhound finds a loving, responsible forever home and the new adopter falls in love with their new dog... PRICELESS!
