Rescue FAQs

Boston Terrier Rescue Canada (BTRC) is a not-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers dedicated to the safety and welfare of Boston Terriers. Our rescue program takes in unwanted, abandoned, neglected and abused Boston Terriers, dogs that can no longer be cared for by their owners, works to rehabilitate them, and to place them safe, loving “forever” homes. We advocate an end to the operation of puppy mills and pet store animal sales. It is the goal of Boston Terrier Rescue Canada to educate the public about Boston Terriers, and to promote responsible dog ownership and breeding practices. All dogs adopted out through our program and spayed or neutered.
We are a national organization helping Boston Terriers and Boston Terrier-mixes across the country. We are most active in the provinces of BC, Alberta, and Ontario.

Additional adoption info

Adoption from our organization requires an application, vet reference check, and home visit. An adoption donation of $350 (with some exceptions for special needs, seniors or other special circumstances) will apply. We do not ship our pets, so you must be prepared to travel to meet and pick up your new companion. We do not have a shelter, and house our pets in volunteers’ homes throughout the country. We strive to answer all email inquiries in a timely manner, and you can find a lot of helpful information on our website: Adoption from our organization requires an application, vet reference check, and home visit.
