Metro Ferals of Maryland

Metro Ferals is a non-profit organization that is run by donations and volunteers. Unlike other rescue groups in the DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland areas, Metro Ferals sole mission is to relieve suffering of feral cats by getting them spayed/neutered. In the process of trapping ferals, we often come across abandoned and social cats and kittens. We bring these into our foster program and work hard to find these deserving cats and kittens a loving forever home!

Additional adoption info

With the exception of our cats and kittens listed in our special needs category, our cats and kittens available for adoption have tested negative for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and spayed/neutered (older than 10 weeks).

Please understand that Metro Ferals will not adopt out cats as “presents”. Nor will Metro Ferals adopt to someone that has never met the cat. Metro Ferals believes that every cat deserves a loving and permanent home.

We ask that anyone interested in adopting a cat or multiple cats complete an adoption application. We will also ask that you meet the cat in person, at either the foster home or at a pet adoption show. Once the applicaiton has been approved, there is an adoption fee of $125 for a single cat, $200 for a pair. The adoption fee covers the cost of spay/neuter, vetting, food and other supplies during the stay in the foster home.
