We do not take in cats. However, all Pickens County residents can get up to 3 vouchers per month to have any community/feral cats fixed!!
If you need to surrender a pet please email pcas@pickenscountysc.gov we do not take in owner surrenders without an appointment which is only made via email.
Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- Adopters must visit the facility in person to fill out a adoption application. Adoptions are a first come, first serve basis.
- Meet the Pet
- Come meet the pets any time that we are open!
- Take the Pet Home

Can't adopt? We also Adventure Buddies. Which is a program that allows anyone over 18 to take an adoptable dog out on a daytime adventure, overnight journey or a week long exploration!!
