Adoption or Foster contracts with references must be submitted and approved prior to taking an animal home. A home visit for approval is required. We will work with long-distance adoptions within the United States. Our adoption fees are $125.00 for an adult dog (1 year or more) and $200.00 for puppies (everyone wants puppies).

About It's A Dog's World
We are a nonprofit, no-kill, rescue organization with an emphasis on large-breed dogs. However, we will not discriminate due to size. We got our first Great Dane because the local humane society could not take him (he was too big at 225 pounds!). He was headed for the pound just before Christmas and they kill them after 3 days. We took him on as a foster dog then realized the next day our family had grown by one. He is a happy part of our family. We don't want to see any dog killed simply because they are not wanted.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
