Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationThis may be done ahead of time online or in person during our adoption hours: Monday-Saturday between 1-4pm.
- Approve ApplicationOnline apps: 1-2 business days to approve
In-Person: Typically, under 10 minutes - Meet the PetWe offer scheduled and walk in meet and greets with an approved application.
- Sign Adoption ContractOnce you've picked a pet to adopt, there will be a small amount of paperwork. This typically takes less than 30 mins.
- Take the Pet HomeWe supply a collar and leash, toys, treats, and a small amount of transitional food to take home with you!
Additional adoption info
The first step in adopting through RCACP is to complete an Adoption Application at www.rcacp.org or in-person at our shelter.
