Rescue FAQs

We are an all volunteer adoption group which became a reality in June 2000. We successfully obtained our non profit status and have worked extremely hard with our focus on helping Greyhounds find loving homes. We work with many groups and send referrals anytime we get inquiries out of our area. Greyhound Retirement Foundation of Tennessee has grown but we are still a close Greyhound family. We follow-up with and support all our adopters. We are fairly small but makeup for it with our determination. If you are located in or around East Tennessee, the boarders in KY, AL and GA check us out at www.greyoundretirement.org
Our volunteers work throughout East Tennessee with our Meet and Greets in Knoxville, Chattanooga and Kingsport. We touch into KY, VA, GA & AL.

Additional adoption info

We require that you meet the Greyhounds in person, complete an application then once the references are checked a home visit will be scheduled.

If all goes well with the Greyhound and everyone in the household including all other pets are in agreement and harmony then a contract is require with the adoption fee of $225.00.

We are a 501c3 and gladly accept donations. We are a all volunteer group so all the donations will go for the care of the X-Racing Greyhounds.
