Shelter FAQs

The SPCA Serving Allegany County is a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Organization. Our Staff, Board Members and Volunteers devote countless hours to help the animals at our shelter and in foster care.
We serve Allegany County in New York State. We are located at 5440 State Route 19, Belmont NY 14813. Our SPCA was formed in 1911 in Cuba, New York. In the early 1980's our first and only shelter was built through the generosity of our supporters and volunteers. We now have a brand new state of the art facility that opened in 2019 and we have added in a spay & neuter clinic. We are proud to be a NO-KILL Shelter and we do our best to help all of the animals of Allegany County.
