Additional adoption info
We require two personal references and one vet reference, we also have a re-homing form that must be filled out. We conduct in home checks and have a final contract that must be signed. We have a 75.00 suggested donation for dogs and puppies and 50.00 suggested donation for cats. All animals are spayed, neutered and utd on shots unless they are to young for procedures.
There are so many dogs that would love a loving home. Blue Horse Mukwa Equine Retirement and Rescue Center tries to find fulfilling and suitable matches for all foster animals. We have an adoption application that we can email you. If you want to meet a particular dog, it is advisable to email us to determine if the dog is still available and to set up an appointment..
We have a committee that reviews the applications, checks all references, interviews you, and tries to determine if you and the requested dog are a good match. This process usually takes a week. You will be contacted on the decision.
For very young puppies, a spay/neutered contract must be signed to make sure they are sterilized as soon as age permits.
Thank you for thinking of re-homing and not shopping!!!
