Rescue FAQs

We strive to go above and beyond when caring for and socializing our animals. We understand the importance of getting to know each and every animal available for adoption in an effort to place them in the most perfect home possible. Like people, animals have distinct personalities that make them unique. Pals for Paws is proud to say that these animals are treated like our own, and we care enough about them to be certain they go to the right home!
We are an all breed rescue and we rescue from all over the world, we rescued 68 from Hurricane Katrina and have never looked back since. We have helped rescue several from puppy mills and other horrible living situations. We have saved over 20,000 homeless pets in the last 20 years. Thanks to all of my wonderful volunteers!!

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees range from $200 to $500 generally. All our animals are fully vetted and groomed prior to adoption.
The Pals contract states the pet is fully vetted and must be returned to us if the adoption does not work out. We contact their vet for a reference as well as other professionals they may have used in the past such as groomers etc.
