Humane Society of Broward County

The Humane Society of Broward County is a private, non-profit organization that was founded in 1944. We are an open admission shelter that accepts all owned animals. We find homes for thousands of animals each year. Our shelter has more than 500 volunteers that help in all areas. We also have an extensive Education Department that visits schools on a regular basis to teach respect and kindness to all animals. In addition to spaying and neutering all the pets that are adopted, we also offer low-cost spay/neuter services for pets belonging to residents in our community and feral cats.
