The Dubois County Humane Society, Inc. is committed to the reduction of the pet overpopulation in our community, finding homes for abandoned & homeless animals, and the prevention of animal neglect and cruelty through community education programs. To achieve these goals, we operate a shelter and provide adoption programs. Promote the spaying and neutering of all companion animals. Educate adults and children about animal welfare issues. Advocate animal welfare.
Adoptions: Nationwide, based on approved placement. The adopter is responsible for picking the animal up, we do not ship. Animal Intake: Based on capacity and circumstances. Spay/Neuter Vouchers

For Dogs: The cost of adoption is $125. The cost of puppies under 6 months of age is $200. This fee includes the spay/neuter, heartworm check (age appropriate), & on heartworm preventative, all shots, worming, Microchip, and a goody bag.

For Cats: The cost of adoption is $40.00 (cash or check), which includes the spay/neuter, FIV & Felv test (age appropriate), all shots, worming, Microchip, and a goody bag.
