Rescue FAQs

MidAmerica Border Collie Rescue is a group of volunteers that takes in border collies from shelters and owners. We try to rehabilitate each dog in a foster home and prepare it for adoption. We approve each home to adopt from MBCR. Once approved, we work with the approved adopter to match them with a dog, making sure each adoption is a perfect match for the owner and the Border Collie.
Our Fosters are located throughout Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Kentucky.

Additional adoption info

In order to successfully match each dog we go through an adoption process which consists of:
- The adoption application
- A phone interview
- Personal reference
- Vet check
- A home visit
