"Speaking for those with no voice ... because each animal deserves a home and another chance".
Another Chance Animal Welfare League (ACAWL) is dedicated to the rescue, care, and re-homing of lost, abandoned, and owner-surrendered pets.We are a non-profit volunteer organization in Shasta County founded in 2005 by six people with a vision to help healthy, adoptable animals have another chance at a permanent, loving home. Our no-kill sanctuary and adoption center both provide a safe place and refuge for animals to live until they are adopted.
We always welcome charitable cash donations and gently used items to sell in our thrift shop in Palo Cedro, California. These donations help defray the cost of feeding and caring for the animals as well as for veterinary care.

Additional adoption info
Our adoption process consists of an application you can submit in person or online at our website. We will contact you for a home visit to review safety issues and meet other pets living with you. You will be notified of the outcome after your application is reviewed by our adoption committee. Because there are frequently multiple people applying for one animal, there is no guarantee that your application will be approved.
If you have any questions, please call us at (530) 547-PETS.
