Shelter FAQs

The mission of the PVHS is to support humane and sustainable communities for all animals through education.advocacy, respect and responsibility. The Pembina Valley Humane Society operates as a volunteer run, non-profit organization. Our goal is to provide a safe, healthy environment for all animals in our care, until we re-home them to a suitable adoptive family. We operate our shelter with a no-kill philosophy, euthanizing only when an animal is deemed un-adoptable.
We are located in Morden, Manitoba but we serve the entire south western region called the Pembina Valley. This encompasses 29 towns, including Winkler, Carman and Altona.
