The Washington Humane Society of Louisiana and Magnolia Chapter partnership supports Washington Parish Animal Shelter, Bogalusa Animal Control Shelter and needy pet owners in our area. If you would like additional information, call (985) 241-4290 option 5 or email us at washingtonhumanesocietyla@gmail.com. The Washington Humane Society of Louisiana sponsors a high volume, low cost spay/neuter program. Since the program started in February 2009, we have spayed/neutered over 14,000 cats and dogs. We are currently holding 2 clinics per month and are able to offer spay/neuter surgeries for dogs for $80 and for cats for $45. Call (985) 241-4290 to schedule your dog or cat. We will text you when we have an available appointment. This could take up to 8 weeks.
We serve Washington Parish (county) in Louisiana which is a mostly rural area with 25 percent of the 45,000 people living here having incomes below the poverty level. We serve surrounding areas as well.

Additional adoption info

$100 adoption fee for Washington Humane Society foster dogs or puppies includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, worming and current vaccination(s).

$10-$65 adoption fee for cats or kittens on a case by case basis, which includes spay/neuter, flea treatment, worming and current vaccination(s).
