Friends of the Animals

We are the only shelter in Cedar County, Iowa. We take in homeless dogs and cats and help them to find carefully screened, lifelong, and nurturing homes. FOA serves Cedar County, Iowa. When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving dog or cat a home. You’re also reducing the demand for puppy mills and other industrial-scale breeding operations that put profits before animal welfare. Homeless, scared, abused, neglected or surrendered, whatever the circumstance may be, our goal is to give all animals the chance to feel loved, wanted and special. After all, their souls are pure, and they deserve only the best from us.
