Rescue FAQs

SW ON pug rescue is a small, non-for-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to helping homeless pugs find permanent and loving homes. We are dedicated to promoting responsible pet ownership and to prevent the over population of pugs, jugs, puggles and other pug mixes that are overwhelming shelters and rescues across Canada.

Pug rescue of Southwestern Ontario takes pugs and pug mixes from owner surrenders, pounds and other rescues, Provides heart worm testing, altering, vaccinations and any other medical treatment. Then adopts the dogs out to approved and screened homes.
Southwestern Ontario Canada, including London, Windsor, Sarnia, Kitchener, Guelph, Brampton.

Additional adoption info

Adopting a dog from Pug Rescue of Southwestern Ontario can be a lengthy process. We screen homes by first sending an application by email. Once the application is filled out and we feel you are a suitable home for one of our dogs we will contact you for a phone interview. Should the phone interview go well we will then ask that you come and meet the dog you are interested in, we urge you to bring as many members of the family as possible including your resident canines so we can be assured this is a good match all around.
