Rescue FAQs

Tennessee River Rescues was founded and is operated by Mary Davis with very little assistance. The dogs are on the premises. Each dog is tended to daily. The dogs receive veterinary care. All of the medium and larger dogs are in outdoor kennels with individual doghouses and tarpaulins covering each kennel. If you are local and can volunteer any time to help tending to the foster dogs, around the house, with yard work, just anything - please call Mary at 731-632-1603 or 731-727-4165. Donations are needed to help defray animal expenses of food, medicines, spay/neuter surgeries, & grooming. Also gas money for out-of-area adoption events. Mail donations to Tennessee River Rescues, 355 Angotti Road, Crump, TN 38327, a 501(c) (3) non-profit.
We are located in Hardin County, TN which is in the SE corner of West Tennessee. The vast majority of the dogs accepted for intake come from Hardin County. Many dogs and cats are abandoned, dumped, and left to fend for themselves in this area.

Additional adoption info

Our fees vary based on the age & breed. An adoption contract must be signed. If spay/neuter is not done in advance due to age or special health reason, adopters are required to make an appointment with their veterinarian and send proof of s/n.
