Additional adoption info
Fees vary based on the age and desireability of the Dane. We try to cover our medical costs with the adoption fee. As part of our preparation for placement, each Dane receives a Laparoscopic Assisted Gastropexy (also known as a stomach tack), a proven preventative of gastric torsion or bloat. Each Dane additionally receives a spay or neuter, rabies vaccination, bordetella vaccination, heartworm testing, microchip, dental exam, dental cleaning, ear cleaning and nail trimming. Young, healthy stomach-tacked Danes are typically $1,000. Older and less desirable dogs are available for a smaller fee. Great homes with limited financial resources may qualify for a payment plan.
