Welcome! Sweet Bark Pit Bull rescue is a not for profit, no kill, foster based organization dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of Pit Bull and Bully breed type dogs. We are located in Northeast, Pa. We believe that "Saving one dog won't change the world, but it will change the world for that one dog."! That's our motto and being a small, foster based rescue that's what we focus on; Saving one dog at a time. We also work to save lives by preventing them through our FREE and low cost spay neuter program! Why is this so important? Pit Bull type dogs are currently the most bred dog in the US with a 93% euthanasia ra...te in shelters. At this rate we need to do more then just rescue, we need to prevent more dogs from needing to be rescued! It not only gets them out of the shelter and into safety, but also into a home environment where they can grow to their full potential! Our fosters are the core of our rescue...we ABSOLUTELY can NOT save dogs without them! We can only rescue as many dogs as we have foster homes! So please consider fostering today!
