Palm Valley Animal Society (PVAS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal welfare organization operating out of two facilities in Edinburg, TX and providing services for six municipalities in Hidalgo County, as well as the county at-large. PVAS serves approximately 30,000 animals on behalf of 750,000 residents each year, and is working to reach “no-kill” status, broadly defined as saving 90% or more of the animals that enter our care. PVAS accepts all stray and surrendered companion animals regardless of age, health, or breed, making us the largest intake facility in Hidalgo County, and one of the largest intake facilities in the nation.
Palm Valley Animal Society provides services for the following municipalities in Texas: Edinburg, Hidalgo, Hidalgo County, La Joya, McAllen, Palmhurst, and Palmview.

Stop by either facility (Andrews is located at 2451 N. US Expressway 281, Edinburg TX and Trenton is located at 2501 W. Trenton Rd, Edinburg, TX) Monday - Thursday from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Friday - Sunday 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm to meet your perfect match! If the animal profile says the animal is in a foster home, email our adoption team at adopt@pvastx.org to set up a meet and greet!
