Rescue FAQs

2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is a foster network. Our goal is to find our precious little ones their "forever families" where they will live out the rest of their lives. Your dog is a part of your family and should be treated as such. You don't give away your children and neither should your loyal pet be dispensable! All our dogs must be altered before adoption. Spay/Neuter is the only way to stop the senseless overpopulation we have now. Our hope is one day with education we will live in a society where shelters are not a necessity and no animal will die just for lack of space!
We have foster families in York, Lancaster, Dauphin & Lebanon Counties. Our dogs are not in a shelter but in individual homes living with their foster parents so after the adoption application is process if you are being considered for this specific dog you will be contacted to come for a visit. If you are not willing to travel to visit the dog please do NOT apply. PLEASE GO TO OUR SITE TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. www.2ndChance4LifeRescue.org

Additional adoption info

If you have questions concerning a specific animal, PLEASE fill out our application and the foster parent will be in touch. You can not email or call us before filling out our application.
Our adoption donation ranges from 250 - 500 depending on the age of the dog and breed.
We require the potential adopter to meet the dog and introductions must be made if the adopter has other pets.
We do not adopt out to families with children under the age of 5.
You must own your own home.
If the dogs page says requires fence it must be a physical fence
When you go to our site www.2ndChance4LifeRescue.org and click on the dog you are interested in you will see under the dogs photo a line that says "wont you consider adopting me" click on the adopt button and the application will come up.
