A dog can make a house a home!

Since 2010, Family Dog Rescue has rescued thousands of dogs, matching them with loving humans, creating families with every adoption.
We are located in Sonoma but place pets all over the Bay Area.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Please visit our website and complete an adoption application for review. We are open by appointment only and look forward to meeting you.
  2. Meet the Pet
    1. Once your applicaton has been approved you will be invited to select a time to meet your potential pet.

Additional adoption info

We are looking for responsible, warm-hearted people to give our dogs the wonderful homes they deserve. Our adoption process is thorough but fast. We focus on making the best match between you and the right dog. To adopt, you will need to:

1. Complete the Adoption Application.
2. Meet the dog you want to adopt.
3. Show proof that you can have a dog in your home (lease, mortgage, letter from landlord).
4. Sign our Adoption Agreement and pay an Adoption Fee.
