Humane Society of Illinois

We are a fall 2010 established grassroots Illinois based all volunteer non profit organization. We are not affiiated with any national organizations. We aim to provide a wide variety of services and resources to the public. Thes include statewide community partnerships and multiagency coalitions, establishment of a food/suppy bank program, equine support services, promotion of spay-neuter programs, neglected and abused animal support services, various transportation services, a foster care program, and sponsoring of humane investigators. The Humane Society of Illinois offers it's benefits to everyone who needs and applies for them. There are no obstacles in the way of those who need the services offered by the organization, such as residency requirements or membership fees. Our limitations will only be due to available resources. Mr. Kernica established the Humane Society of Illinois and is a proud Desert Storm combat veteran. He holds an MBA from Roosevelt University - Chicago and is a lifelong animal lover. Mr. Kernica truly believes in equal opportunity and that in the spirit of philanthropy, we as a community can strive to support one another for the common good, regardless of social, economic or other historical divisions. He believes that true charity has no boundaries and therefore hopes that the Humane Society of Illinois will spearhead a statewide call to integration and a fruitful movement towards animal welfare initiatives.
