Our organization requires an adoption contract to be signed, a home visit prior to adoption, and adoption fees. If the animal is spay/neutered the adoption fee for dogs is $65, and the fee for cats is $45. If the animal is unaltered there is a $60 deposit, which is refunded at the time of spay/neuter.

About Centerville Area Animal Rescue Effort ( CAARE)

We are a small non-profit organization located in Centerville, Iowa.We began inSept. 2008 in an attempt to provide abandoned, and unwanted companion animals a chance at a new life in their forever home. Many unwanted animals in this part of the country are dumped in the country, or shot. We rely on volunteers, and donations to continue our work. To date CAARE has rescued, and transported to larger animal rescue groups 124 animals, and adopted out 94. We outreach to the community and provide spay/neuter assistance, welfare assistance (i.e. food, medicines, vet care) to countless people and their animals. We are always in need of donations of $, food, and volunteer foster homes.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
