Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program. All of our animals reside in foster homes until they are adopted out. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a group of volunteers serving South Bend, Indiana, and surrounding cities. We do not have a physical shelter, but a group of volunteer foster homes. Almost all our animals come from local shelters. We take in the animals that would normally be euthanized by the shelters. Occasionally we take in other animals on a case-by-case basis.
