Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area. info@heartlandsmallanimalrescue.org Mission It is our mission to help reduce the homeless pet population in the South Bend area. You can help by fostering an animal, donating your time or money, or adopting a new family member. If you wish to send in a tax-deductable donation, our mailing addres is: PO Box 6033 South Bend, IN 46660 Company Overview Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program. All of our animals reside in foster homes until they are adopted out. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a group of volunteers serving South Bend, Indiana, and surrounding cities. We do not have a physical shelter, but a group of volunteer foster homes. Almost all our animals come from local shelters. We take in the animals that would normally be euthanized by the shelters. Occasionally we take in other animals on a case-by-case basis.

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots. Adoption Fees: Puppies (under 8 months) $350 Puppies (8-12 months) $250 Adult Dogs $200 Senior Dogs (over 10 years) $100 Cats $100/ over 3 years $50 Rabbits $50 (includes alter) Ferrets $150/pair; $100 /single Guinea Pigs $25/ $40 pair Rats $10 Hamsters $10 Gerbils $10 Degus $20 Hedgehogs $75 Chinchillas $100 Birds - adoption fee varies with species Reptiles - adoption fee varies with species
