Nutmeg CT Rescue

Nutmeg CT Rescue is a volunteer only rescue group who utilizing a network of foster homes to adopt our dogs to all areas of New England. We do not have an actual shelter location. We rely on boarding, foster homes and donations 100%. We take in owner surrenders and work with many rescuers in the south where hundreds of dogs and puppies are put down daily simply because there is no room. A lack of spay/neuter laws as well as a lack of education results in severe over population and causes us to have to save "one dog at a time". We are a newer group who relies on foster homes and donations. We rarely cover our costs with the modest adoption fee, which usually runs between $350-$450, and includes all the vet care and transportation if the dog is from the south
