The Mingo County Commission is the county's governing fiscal agency and operates the facility. It is a relatively new facility (less than a year) as we had worked with a shelter in a neighboring county until Summer 2010.

Additional adoption info

Our dogs must be held for eight days prior to adoption to allow potential owners to claim them. During the eight-day waiting period, those interested in adopting an animal can make application and will be notified once the dog is ready to be released to their custody.
