Send us an e-mail and let us know which pet you are interested in. The more details you can give us about yourself, the better we can assist you in finding your forever family member! Every e-mail is answered within a few days and you will be sent our adoption application. If you are a good match, we then arrange a meeting with our dog at your home. We check for a safe environment for the pet, look at the yard and want to meet all other animals and family members. After we leave, you will know within hours if the adoption is approved. When we deliver the dog to you, which can be right away, we expect you to sign our CONTRACT and collect the adoption fee which ranges from $200-$350.Certified cheque is our preferred payment but we will accept cash. Cheques must be bank certified. Once you have adopted your new pet, we are here for you 24/7 for any support, info or help you may need. All pets are trained or rehabilitated, spay or neutered, up to date on vaccines, health checked and microchiped with the rescues phone number. About Pekingese Rescue of B.C. and West Coast German Shepherd Rescue

We are a small group of animal activists who not only LOVE animals but also fight for animal rights and changes in their laws on a daily basis. We maybe a small group but we have BIG voices where animals are concerned. We want to adopt to people who feel as we do about the care and needs of the animals we live with as well as animal welfare all over the world. Our rescue feels that pets have far better chances staying in the home if they are trained or rehabilitated from poor past behaviors before they are adopted. Therefore, we spend time with each dog getting to know it well so that we can make those changes and adjustments in his/her behaviors. Our people are very experienced in K-9 rehabilitation and the training of all breeds but specialize in the Pekingese and German Shepherd. We believe in helping all other rescues and shelters when we can and are known for our work with dogs deemed "dangerous" and "unadoptable"
Our non-profit society is a strict NO KILL rescue organization.
All of us are volunteer rescue workers so that 100% of the donations go directly to a dogs in need. ANY amount you can give is appreciated. Often we have had to use our own incomes and this makes it hard to take in another dog waiting. We really need your help because we cannot take in a dog in need if we know we dont have the funds for the vet. So please click our donate button and share what you can.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Langley, BC.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
